River Place Kitchen

This homeowner worked with designer Jillian Brito of Jill and Jude to update their kitchen with elegant, warm neutrals. While the footprint remained the same, allowing them to keep the floors in place, other big modifications were made to update the space. We opened up the island by removing the uppers and one support wall, bolstering the other wall and creating an arch that mirrors the dining room opening down the hall. The window next to the fridge was partially closed creating space for new cabinets, made to match the existing ones, adding counterspace and a home for the new beverage fridge. New cabinets were also added to the back of the island for additional storage. The existing cabinetry was modified to accommodate a new range with drawers beneath, new organizational inserts, and solid front doors to replace the original glass fronts. This timeless kitchen was finished off with a new vent hood, a fresh coat of paint, hardware, and lighting, as well as a quartzite countertop which flows up the backsplash and includes a ledge.
